Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. you have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because that is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are.

Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Love...who is to define love? One may say that when we are young, it is hard to distinguish what may be love and infatuation. However, what about the young who love their families, or their friends. Although it may not be the type of love that people today seem to be frequently looking for, it is still a type of love that lasts in our hearts.It goes to show that love comes at any age & any form, but it's whether or not we choose to see it or choose to believe in it is what makes the difference.

Love comes in all shapes and sizes, whether it's love for the family, friends, bf, lovers, or etc. Love just is. You don't necessarily have to define it.

I find that it's rather interesting how people can define love by quotes, or a certain phrase. But love is different for everyone. And there are those, like Alison, who aren't sure about love... because love is many things.. and you can't just fix it on one perspective, one feeling...it's a collaboration of feelings that join together to make this one beautiful and precious thing--love.

A lot of people are unsure about how they feel about the topic of love, or much rather, it's a personal subject and some are willing to share it while others rather keep it to themselves. Love means different things to different people, and each individual love should be treated with respect. I was quite surprised that a lot of people were able to answer me in such different ways, but I find the most interesting parts of the answers in the uniqueness of each one. Each one meant something different to each person. It just goes to show that Love is one of the most precious and valued things about people. It is one of those things that can't be touched, but only be felt by the heart.

Now how do you know when you're in love? As Johnny says,"you get this tingly feeling in your heart or throughout your body when you hug them." Perhaps it can be a physical thing, but it goes way deeper than that. It's sacrifices such as the one Mary describes: "you know when you are in love..when you want the best for that person.."

How do you know for certain? What if it is just an infatuation? Perhaps...there is something inside that makes you feel like you just know. For others, it takes time in order to see what they have in front of them. Or perhaps like Karl had said, "u kno when u kno"

I find that a lot of people have yet to fall in love yet. Perhaps it is because of their current status as a teen, perhaps they have yet to find that one person, or maybe... they just don't know or realize it yet until it hits them right in the face. Either way, it's too hard to tell... it's too personal...it's too sacred... it's too beautiful for a mere mortal to understand. It's Love.

Love? Was I ever in love? Perhaps one may fall in love too easily... but I, too, have been pinched by the love bug once. However, it was simply a love that existed, for the soul purpose of existing... a love that I will continue to have, to hold, to cherish, and perhaps one day share, but until then... it just exists ...

I believe that a person can love many people. Whether it is to love your family, friends, pets, neighbor, kin, etc.... Love exists in many ways. But the one thing that makes that one individual stand out...

is that the person they end up with makes them their one and only...
